Father's Day Card

As you know, I've been doing a lot of blog hopping lately, and I've come across some very good challenge blogs.  Now I've had a go at one or two, I can see it could become quite addictive, especially as I am now going to add my second post of the day!

The challenge blog in question is Sunday Sketch and Stamp.  I mean, what could be more perfect?  I love to stamp and I love sketches for inspiration, so hopefully I'll be going there regularly.  Anyway, enough preamble, here is my card for the challenge:

These papers are called The Linen Closet by DCWV and to say they're exquisite is not an exaggeration.  They are almost too beautiful to cut up. I've spent a few days just gazing at them and stroking them!  Most of them have some sort of texture and all of them work really well together.  I wasn't going to make this the first card I showed you (more tomorrow!) but I've got to whack it on quickly or I'll miss the challenge deadline.
The stamp, as you probably know by now, is one of the new releases by LOTV.  I've coloured it differently to last time, and I must admit, I do prefer this one.  I hope he likes the present his little boy bear has got him for father's day.  Right, I'm off to cook some dinner.
Thanks so much for paying me a visit today.
Mrs O.

  2. By the by, I am just catching up with all your other cards as well and, as usual, I am most impressed with your creativity.

For the boat...maybe some waves and clouds would add to the visual? It is a very clever idea.
