New Craft Room
Hello there! I hope you've managed to have a peaceful and relaxing Easter weekend, with family and friends. We've been busy getting the house in shape, seeing to the horses and shopping, but I've finally managed to take a couple of pics of my new craftroom, so here we are:
To anyone else, this would be a dining room, but in our case I'm afraid eating plays second fiddle to crafting! (You've got to get your priorities right, haven't you?!) It's quite an experience having a whole room to use. You'll probably remember my desk from a previous post. The printer is plugged in next to it, and to the left of that are my clear boxes full of embellishments. Here's my old desk:
I've put my little texture boutique on here and the front of those stacking baskets is full of all my embossing folders. Much better than rummaging through a drawer every time I need one.
I'd like to show you the cupboard in the window, which is holding all my papers, but the photos are too dark.
So, of course, if you have a craft room, you have to craft, don't you? I haven't had time to make any Easter cards this year, which I'm a bit sad about, but I did get to make something you can see in the above photo. Have a closer look:
I have made a couple of these sweet little watering cans before, but they got squashed in the move, so of course I had to make a new one. I used the same template as before, which you can find at Splitcoast stampers. There's a really good tutorial and even a video. I've used Pool Party card stock as I've been wanting to pair it with So Saffron for ages. I've kept mine simple and just stamped it all round with the Fresh Vintage stamp also in Pool Party. I've added the flower in So Saffron and a little butterfly on the handle and filled it with the smallest mini eggs - yum! The only limit to this is your own imagination.
Thanks for dropping in today, I really appreciate it that you take time out to see what I'm up to.
Back soon,
Jane xx

Lovely! It won't be long before the dining table looks less like a dining table and more like an extension to your craft desk lol
