In The Pink

I am well and truly going through a pink phase.  Please bear with me, I'm sure it will pass!  But if you can't have some fun with your favourite colour, what can you do?
This card sums up everything I've bought new recently.  The image is a free digi from Little Claire's.  I have had the papers for a while (MME).  I decided to colour her in antique pink and pastel green, which really matched the flowers and came out quite aqua looking.
New things:
The flower at bottom left is made with a Marianne Creatables die.  I am in love with these.  I think I'll buy a ribbon threader next, I've wanted one of those for a long time.  The top left corner has a corner die.  These are fab, too. Top right is an LOTV sentiment, 'Time To Shop.'  How perfect can you get, for an image like this?  I love it when a plan comes together.
Hot News:  I have twisted hubby's arm, and he has agreed we can go to the Create and Craft exhibition at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 16th July.  I am so excited.  It's my first ever show.  I can't believe the hassle I've had trying to get tickets from the website, but I've finally managed it.  Anyone else going?
I've decided this month I really must buy a brayer and start playing with some ink.  I've been watching loads of You Tube videos and can't wait to have a go.  Any tips?
Well I've loads of jobs to do in the garden, so I'd better go and make a start.

    Lovely card,again :o) Enjoy your first show, you'll be flitting from one stand to the next and back again lol The first show you go to is usually a bit over powering as there is so much to see and you want to buy everything in sight! Especially when the demonstrators make everything look so easy. I've fallen underneath Barbara Gray's spell a few times and then struggled to use the product when I got it home. If you know which suppliers are going to be there have a look at their website before you go, it will give an idea as to what they'll have on the day. :o)

    And another lovely card - you are on a roll! I really love the die cut flower. The paper looks familiar to me, I think I may even have a sheet somewhere.
    How exciting that you are going to a show. I recommend comfy shoes, a sturdy bag and a good credit card limit!!! Take a camera as you'll never remember everything you have seen. Oh, and sharpen your elbows - it's quite shocking to see how some people forget their manners! Have fun and I'm looking forward to hearing how you got on. Michelle x

Hi folks, hope you're having a good weekend.  I can hardly believe I'm posting again so soon, but I really wanted to get this card on before it's too late. Here are another couple of challenge blogs I've been following since just before Christmas, but I haven't had enough supplies to be able to join in.  The first one is the Colour Q challenge  which as you can see, wants us to use the colours shown in the picture, put together beautifully in the skirt.  I don't have any of the Stampin Up! In Colours yet, so this is the first time I've been able to have a go.  The second challenge blog is Freshly Made Sketches.  I saw this and wondered if I could combine the two challenges. And so here is my card: First of all, I rotated the sketch, I just couldn't work it that way up! I decided to use a kraft card base, and stamped the image (sorry I can't remember the name of it) which I'd inked up in Old Olive, Real Red and More Mustard.

Freshly Made Sketches No. 22

I've had one of those conversations with lovely, lovely hubby.  You know the sort: DH: Can you make me a birthday card for work, please? Me: Of course darling, who's it for? DH: (In a voice of doom) A male colleague  (Cue thunder and lightening!) Me: (Swallowing) No problem.  When do you want it by? DH: (Casually) Tomorrow. Me: You're 'avin a larf! But have I let the situation defeat me?  No, I have not!  But I would like to say a huge thankyou to Freshly Made Sketches , for coming up with one of the most wonderful, and inspiring, sketches I've ever seen. This is what they've given us to work with: And this is the card I made using the sketch: I actually made a prototype card first, just using paper, as there was quite a lot of measuring to work out before I put everything together.  The card is 5x7" but then I went into metric for everything else (The joys of going to school in the '70's!) Dynamic Duos No. 1

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great Bank Holiday weekend (here in the UK), even if it is raining! Now, many of you probably already know Lesley Croghan, owner of the wonderful Always Playing With Paper blog, who runs her Merry Monday challenge from there.  If you don't, you certainly should pop over when you get time. Anyway, she's now hosting a new challenge, called Dynamic Duos, which you can find here : Her first colour choice is Pool Party and Lucky Limeade, and I couldn't resist having a go.  This is what I've made: The base is 5x7" in Very Vanilla.  (Neutrals are allowed, thank goodness!)  Then I've taken a piece of watercolour card, which is very similar to the vanilla, with the addition of a lovely texture.  I've punched out a flower using my Posy Punch, very close to the edge, so it leaves a gap.  I've put dimensionals on the back of the water colour paper and stuck it onto one of the sheets from the Everyday Enchantment
