Santa's Midnight Snack
Hi folks!
There's a really good sketch this week at Sketch Saturday, and I'm finding them really useful for helping me with Christmas card layouts, (thankyou girls!) so I've decided to enter this one:
There's a really good sketch this week at Sketch Saturday, and I'm finding them really useful for helping me with Christmas card layouts, (thankyou girls!) so I've decided to enter this one:
I bought this stamp at the very end of my card making last year and fell in love with it, and the ticket sentiment too, as I'd never seen anything like it before in my life. It's so thrilling to still own them a year on, if you know what I mean, going through my Christmas stash is like greeting old friends. I was even more delighted to see how well the SU colours Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler go together, and these designer papers are a match made in heaven. Each one of them co-ordinates beautifully, even though they're not SU (hope I don't get into trouble for saying that, as a fact's a fact!) The piece of Cherry Cobbler card has been embossed with a Christmas snowflake embossing folder.
Here is a close-up of the Santa image:
Look at him with his glass of milk (Ivory Promarker was perfect for this) and his cute little bunny slippers. I've realised I haven't coloured in the little noses, I'd better add a dash of something.
This last weekend I bought myself a can of spray adhesive, as I've read that it's the best thing for sticking down those delicate die-cut shapes without glue showing on the card, so I'm experimenting with that now. It's very strong, I can see why they tell you to use it in a well-ventilated area. I stood in the garage in the end, as I feel standing in the pouring rain with a can of spray adhesive is a bit much even for me!
