Apothecary Fun

Good morning crafty peeps!  At last we have some sunshine and I have a day off.  I have bought some new crafty goodies and am looking forward to doing some work with them later today, but in the meantime, here is a card I made recently:
I saw a card like this on Pinterest and decided I really must have a go, as I obviously have this paper, from the Twitterpated set.  This set of dsp is actually quite diverse, isn't it?  Most of it is flowery, then this pops up.  This is the first time I've used any Basic Gray cardstock, too, which I really enjoyed.  I am fascinated by the yellow and grey combination, and want to explore this further, as one of the residents at work has a little box with grey and yellow flowers on, and every time I see it it makes me want to run home and start stamping!
The original card doesn't have the section of embossed cardstock that I stuck down the front, but that's because I picked up the card as it was, and got grease on it!  Aahhh!  So I quickly ran a section through the Bigshot and covered it over - phew, crisis averted!
I'm still in love with the Apothecary Art stamps and dies, which works very well on here.  I coloured with So Saffron, and added the ribbon from my stash, which is non SU! but a very close match.
Then I had the age old dilemma, 'where will you actually write your greeting?'  so I put a panel on the inside, like this:

You know me, ever practical!
I'm so pleased to have found a way to use up this fascinating piece of dsp and really enjoyed making this card.
There's plenty more where this came from, and I promise to pop back as soon as I can, but I start my stint at work tomorrow through until Tuesday.  By the time I've been to ride and muck Barnaby out I come home and have a shower, then go to work, which sadly doesn't leave a lot of time for crafting.  You have to make the most of the time that you have, don't you?
Happy stamping, everyone!
