Santa's Midnight Snack

Thanks to Shirley Chalmers (Nanniflash) I have joined a facebook group that challenges us to make a Christmas card every week.  I am so thrilled with what I've made this morning, I decided I had to share it with you folks as well!
I am way behind on these, as this is my entry for week 4, 'Santa', but that's the beauty of it, you can add your cards onto the facebook page as and when you make them.
I can't remember who it was that said if you make a card, and it's good, make another one, and that's what I'm going to do.  My Christmas stuff is all in one box, so rather than drag it all out once a week, making a card and putting it all away again, I am going to get it out once a month, have a 3 day session and make at least 6 cards before having to pack away.  I think I'll be a lot more productive that way, (and less stressed!) as it takes me a day to get into Christmas mode, a few hours to look around for some inspiration and then the time it takes to make the actual card!
Anyway, here are the details for this card:
Base layer: 6x6" Real Red cardstock from SU!
Layer 1: 14x14cm square ordinary white card, distressed with Tim Holtz Old Paper distress ink, then run round with my distressing tool.
Layer 2: 13x13cm square stripy paper from a back issue of Making Cards magazine.  Without this I couldn't have made the card, so thankyou Jo, it's one of yours!
Layer 3: A Whimsey stamp inked in Chocolate Chip and stamped onto River Rock cardstock.  This looked distressed without me having to do anything else to it, what an awesome piece of card that turned out to be!  I backed it onto ordinary white cardstock then distressed as above.
Layer 4: Stamped the Whimsey stamp, 'Santa's Midnight Snack' in black Memento and coloured with Real Red and River Rock pens and various Promarkers. Cut into a circle and backed with a scallop circle in Real Red.
Embellishments: Two snowflakes cut with my Marianne dies, in Real Red with a gem added, popped up on dimensionals.
And there you have it!
Thankyou so much for popping in today, and if you like what you see, why not leave a comment?  I read each and every one of them, and they make my day.
I'm off outside to get a little of this lovely sunshine into my system.
Back soon
Jane xx
