Card Swap Group No. 3
I'm really, really sorry, I can't apologise enough for the poor quality of this photo. Unfortunately I didn't realise how bad it was until well after I'd sent the card, but here goes:
Don't worry, you don't need glasses, it really is the poor quality of the picture. Let me quickly give you the details and then we can move on!
I set the challenge for the card swap group to make a card in our recipient's favourite colour. Most people said, 'purple,' or 'orange and red,' but I had to make a card in pink pirouette for Ann Wall. Hmm, what to do? I knew I wanted to use my honeycomb ef, especially as I found some pink pirouette core'dinations cardstock left over from a workshop Ann did last year. At first it seemed obvious to team it with pool party and lucky limeade again, but I decided to go for something different. I looked at the Beau Chateau dsp and saw the colours were soft suede, pink pirouette and marina mist.
I've used a soft suede card base, topped with the pink pirouette layer. I ran some marina mist and pink pirouette dsp through the same ef and cut a selection of the hexagons out. I really enjoyed doing that, as I'd been quite nervous about doing it, but it was really easy.
The flower is from the retired hostess set, 'Simply Soft', which is a regular 'go-to' set for me, it never lets me down. It's stamped onto very vanilla cardstock as white would have been way too bold. I've stamped 'Hello' onto the Four Frames label, also in soft suede and added the marina mist ribbon.
Hope you like what you see (provided you can actually see it, of course!)
I hope Michelle Pratt likes it too!
Thanks for looking in today, and I promise I am working on improving my photography skills. I've actually bought another lamp to try and brighten things up a bit, as if you wait for good weather before you take your photos, you'd never get anything done, would you?
Back soon folks!

I LOVE it Jane! Can't go wrong with the Honeycomb EF as far as I'm concerned. The colour scheme is superb - subtle and classy. I think I will be reaching for my Simply Soft again (now that I've dusted it off!!). Love the Four Frames too, so versatile. Hope Ann likes it x x
