LIM Theme - Silhouette

Good afternoon blog friends!  How cheerful am I, considering I have raging toothache?!  I am going to have to phone the dentist as soon as I've done this, which is not something I'm looking forward to.  Maybe I'll linger in blogland a while first!
Anyway, I did say yesterday that I had a card to show you that was very quick to make.  As soon as you see it, you'll see why!

I was gazing lovingly at the Less Is More challenge this week, which is to use silhouettes, when I realised I had this stamp (from Little Claire Designs) and hadn't even used it yet.  I am so excited to be able to enter a card on my favourite challenge blog!
I've used the Labels 1 die from Nestabilities to cut the shape and stamp the image on it, then drew round the die on the red card to make the frame.  I do appreciate the irony of buying a set of dies only to draw round one and cut it out by hand, but it's a really easy shape to cut neatly and well worth the effort.  Although I promised not to over use my new Dot Dot Dot stamp I cannot promise the same with these dies as I have wanted them for ages and have seen so many cards I've had to pass up because I didn't have this set, that now I'm going to get my own back and use it for ever
From start to finish I think this card took less than five minutes to make.  Normally I'd feel a bit cheated at spending so little time at my desk, but with Christmas rapidly approaching I'm afraid I was delighted to be done and dusted in such a short time.  If ever you had to do a bulk make, this would be the way to go, wouldn't it?
Thanks for looking in today.  I appreciate each and every one of your comments.
Pop back again soon.
Jane xx

  3. this is lovely, Jane. I've only made the toppers for 15 cards so I need to get busy! Only got 1 order for Christmas cards, wanting the the grand total of 5 cards. Two of them are from husband to wife and the other from the wife to the husband. For some reason I always find these two cards difficult to make.
