Card For Joan

Such a simple card, made for one of the residents last week.  I'm not sure if the photo is clear enough, but the section on the right hand side has been put through the square lattice embossing folder.  Island Indigo is probably one of my all-time favourite colours and I love the dsp used here from Twitterpated.  It wasn't a massive card and had loads of signatures on it from all the staff, which the recipient was thrilled with.  I enjoyed making this so much I might pop off and make a couple more!

Less Is More: Week 57, Colour

It's been an interesting time of late.  It's one thing when your mojo gets up and goes but quite another when your mojo's alive and well but life's little hiccups get in the way of your crafting! And so, it was with great pleasure that I sat down last night and made a card for the Less Is More challenge this week.  It's a colour challenge, and the colours to be used are neutrals.  Now, I may still be fairly new to crafting, but I do have a history of dabbling in interior design, as I love fabric and paint, and neutrals are my favourite things. Card For Priscilla - A New Technique

Don't you love it when you give your title a post and realise that a whole year has gone by since you last wrote that?  I can't believe how much my style has changed too, since I last made a birthday card for my dear friend Priscilla. I am the proud owner of the Stampin Up! dsp called Spice Cake.  It is the most gorgeous stuff (somehow I knew it would be!) A Touch Of The Irish

Hello everyone, welcome back. Do you ever find, as crafters, that you've slipped into meeting deadlines with your card-making and have very little time to just play?  I know when I started out I did a lot more playing than I do now, so I decided this week that I was just going to play with paper and ink and it didn't matter what I made as long as I'd had fun and spent time with some of the new stamps and cardstock that I have. The other thing is that I've wanted to make something to mark St Patrick's Day ever since I started crafting, but it's pointless making a card because I haven't got anyone to give it to.
